Project Overview

Located in Shoalhaven, the new hospital expansion will deliver state-of-the-art medical care, including a new emergency department, specialised wards for mental health and cardiology, and double the number of surgical services and operating theatres. The facility will be directly connected to the existing hospital, which will also undergo refurbishment. This project will significantly increase capacity for emergency and elective surgeries, providing residents with access to advanced medical care and specialised staff locally.

The expansion addresses high occupancy rates, improves access and equity in care, and meets growing demands for acute, aged care and specialised services. Additionally, it will feature enhanced ICU, imaging, and rehabilitation units, along with a new helipad for emergency transport.
